I am a mother of a 7-month-old baby boy. I spent all my time focusing only on my baby’s stage by stage development as I am very conscious about my baby’s health. Now, I have better and enough experience, so I can give a few suggestions and tips to new mothers.
I have a clear knowledge about how to breastfeed a baby and what new moms must consume to increase their breastmilk production. I followed my ancestor’s and doctor’s advice to take care of my baby’s health. I had some experience of my own also, as I have to go through a C-section delivery. I even have a knowledge about what moms should do to take care of their health and what to do to get recover soon from an incision.
A piece of mandatory advice that I would like to give to all the new mothers out there is to avoid taking medicines if you are breastfeeding your baby. Calcium tablets are good enough, as these won’t affect your baby’s health, and it is good and safe for moms because, during the delivery, we lose our bone strength. To increase your breastmilk production, please try to eat natural foods, like garlic, a glass of milk twice a day, eat nuts instead of eating spicy snacks. Eat spinach on a weekly basis – it increases iron content in mother’s milk. For babies older than 4 months, you can give carrot extracts as it can make a baby fair. I gave it to my baby and it worked.
After 6 months, you can start giving apples, beetroot, carrots, ragi, bananas. Give one fruit every day. When giving an apple, you will have to peel the skin of it and boil it for at least 3 minutes. Then mash it with a spoon and give it in semi-solid form.
Note: When u start giving semi-solid foods, then give boiled water so that your baby will not suffer from indigestion. Same procedure you will have to follow for all those mentioned veggies.
